Usdaw’s Paddy Lillis, the current chair of Labour’s NEC, said: Owen Smith the leadership challenger is postioning himself as a left-winger but also a unity candidate. It is difficult to understand how and when unity can be achieved. In my opinion Owen Smith is not truly left-wing and needs re-branding as the disunity candidate.
